Davinci's La Belle Ferroniere, Delaroche's Napoleon Crossing the Alps, Vermeer's the Lacemaker, Ruben's Portrait of Helene Fourment and Delacroix's Lady Liberty Leading the People. The kids did outstanding reports on these masterpieces. We thought you would like to see the paintings we studied.
This morning, we were treated to an extensive presentation by Helene, Caroline and Bonnie on French Architecture. We spent the afternoon at the Chateau Versailles. Built by Louis the XIV, it is also infamous as the place where King Louis XVI and Marie Antionette were caught by angry revolutionaries and dragged to prison.
ENJOY THE ARTWORK!
